Over the years, I have worked with clients from all walks of life - each with their own unique goals and situations. Therefore, I find it very difficult to describe who I work with and to say if we'd be a good fit to work together. I think the best way to describe the people I work with are:
People who are fed up and frustrated by the limitations that their body places on their life.
The majority of the clients I work with come from a place of pain. Sometimes that is from a major surgery, while others have just has a niggle or flair up that has been going on for the last 10+ years. Over time, I've found that pain stops you from being who you want to be; instead of me being Dai, I'm a bad right shoulder. This means that I've had to stop participating in sports and hobbies that I love. I hear this over and over again, clients giving up on running because a few doctors have told them so over the last 8 years, or not completing a bucket list item after surgery because you think it's now impossible.
I'm not a doctor, definitely not a surgeon or physiotherapist. Rather, I'm someone that wants to help you re-write your narrative. I aspire to help you reclaim your identity, find hobbies that you enjoy and give you an opportunity to change the narrative that other people have placed on you.
Working with me; I'll take you through a bespoke assessment process that looks at your joints, strength and breathing. This ensures that I am able to meet you where you are currently at. We then progress as quickly, and safely, as possible to help you reclaim your active life. To see a bit more about the process, click here.
I want to prove to you that you are not frail, that you do not have to compromise on the activities that you love and that you are capable of achieving your impossible.
The image is of an old client called Dylan. He came to me with years of ankle and shoulder pain that stopped him mountain biking and trusting his body to cope with the fast paced activities he loves. He tried physiotherapy, chiropractor, acupuncture, going solo in the gym and hours of self research. We worked together for 12 weeks before he left to solo travel and work in Canada for 2 years. Now he is biking and snowboarding at his highest ever level and experiences no pain symptoms throughout the day.
Other clients starting points and goals are very different from Dylan's. You can listen to their stories here.
